3: Create a British Cheese Weekender Selection

In support of a weekender devoted to British cheese, cheesemakers and retailers are curating exclusive selections of British cheese to attract new customers and showcase their product range. Why not join in and create your own hamper or product bundle?

Need some inspiration? Take a look at the examples below or check out the rest of the hampers and cheese bundles currently available in our Useful Stuff section.

4: Email your customers.

If you send an email newsletter, use this to let your customers know about the British Cheese Weekender and remind them to stock up on cheese. If you are hosting your own event, tell them about it or share our programme of talks to inspire them. Don’t forget to tell them about your special offers, cheese hampers or competitions.

5: Download, Print and Display our Posters

Show people that you are supporting the British Cheese Weekender. Download, print and display them in your shop window, your delivery vehicles, in the windows at home – anywhere the cheese-loving public can see them!

6: Get your ‘Where To Buy Cheese’ directory listing

Not just for the #BritishCheeseWeekender the Academy Of Cheese’s ‘Where To Buy Cheese’ directory is a valuable resource for the cheese-loving consumers.

It’s free to enter and is open to anyone who sells great cheese online or in store. Simply complete the form to get yourself involved.

7: Become an Academy Of Cheese Supporter

By supporting Academy of Cheese your business will be associated with an authoritative and respected consumer and trade organisation, helping to secure the future of the cheese industry. In addition, Academy of Cheese Supporters packages have a whole host of tangible benefits to your business.

8: Run a competition

Who doesn’t love retail giveaways? But they are more than just a gimmick, running competitions can be a lot of fun and can increase online and foot traffic, drive word-of-mouth, and help you get new customers.

Competitions don’t have to be complicated why not try asking your social followers to post an image of themselves enjoying cheese whilst @mentioning you and using the hashtag #BritishCheeseWeekender – Then, just pick your favourite.
