Calling all cheesemakers! Be part of a cheese festival like no other, join the movement supporting small cheesemakers and get yourself involved in this year’s British Cheese Weekender. Our line up is fully booked but there are plenty of ways to get involved and showcase your speciality cheese!
1: Host your own event
Virtual events offer the perfect opportunity to reach large cheese loving audiences, help them discover your brand and share your passion for cheese.
Whilst our line up may be full the #BritishCheeseWeekender is open to all who want to engage with the cheese-loving public. So, if you fancy hosting your own event we say go for it!

The excitement is building around this year’s events across social media, so take advantage of this ‘Cheese Love’ by letting your followers know that you’re involved. Here are a few ideas to help you spread the love:

3: Create a British Cheese Weekender Selection
In support of a weekender devoted to British cheese, cheesemakers and retailers are curating exclusive selections of British cheese to attract new customers and showcase their product range. Why not join in and create your own hamper or product bundle?

4: Email your customers.
If you send an email newsletter, use this to let your customers know about the British Cheese Weekender and remind them to stock up on cheese. If you are hosting your own event, tell them about it or share our programme of talks to inspire them. Don’t forget to tell them about your special offers, cheese hampers or competitions.
5: Download, Print and Display our Posters

It’s free to enter and is open to anyone who sells great cheese online or in store. Simply complete the form to get yourself involved.

7: Become an Academy Of Cheese Supporter

8: Run a competition
Who doesn’t love retail giveaways? But they are more than just a gimmick, running competitions can be a lot of fun and can increase online and foot traffic, drive word-of-mouth, and help you get new customers.
Competitions don’t have to be complicated why not try asking your social followers to post an image of themselves enjoying cheese whilst @mentioning you and using the hashtag #BritishCheeseWeekender – Then, just pick your favourite.
